Welcome

It is a pleasure to invite you to participate at the European Conference on CCS Research, Development and Demonstration to be held in Oslo, 10-11 February 2009.

The conference will focus on research and technological development on CO₂ capture and storage within relevant on-going projects under EU’s framework programmes.

The conference will give an overview of the different projects, their objectives and main results. More in-depth technological presentations will be given in thematic sessions on Post-combustion, Pre-combustion, Oxy-fuel combustion and Transport and Storage.

It should be relevant to researchers, industry and other stakeholders, also those not connected to framework programme projects.

The conference is organised by the DECARBit project in co-operation with the CAESAR and CESAR projects. These three projects are co-funded by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). They have together taken the responsibility for initiating and arranging an annual conference, establishing a forum for dissemination of project results as well as for sharing information between EU funded projects in the field. As such it will continue the successful event that took place at IFP in Lyon in January 2008.

The conference will comprise on-going projects within both FP6 and FP7 and will be open for future projects.
